Artefact Links

Short links, tracked campaign sets, and a link-in-bio page for your handle.

Artefact Links turns a long, ugly URL into a short one you can put on signage, in a newsletter, or in an Instagram bio — and tells you who clicked it afterwards. The dashboard lives at links.artgrp.au; the links themselves go out under go.artgrp.au.

Making a short link

From the dashboard, paste in the destination URL and Links hands back a short go.artgrp.au/… address and a QR code, both ready to use anywhere — printed material, a slide, a business card. Every click or scan is counted, so the stats page always tells you whether a link actually got used.

Campaign links (the backlink builder)

When you're pushing people to the same page from several places — a poster, a newsletter, and an Instagram bio, say — the backlink builder creates one distinct tracked link per source, all pointing at the same destination. Tick which sources you're using (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, newsletter, QR, print, bio) and it generates a link for each, tagged to a shared campaign name. Afterwards, the stats page can tell you which of those actually drove the clicks — not just that the campaign worked, but which piece of it did.

Claiming a handle (your link-in-bio page)

A link-in-bio page is a single public page — go.artgrp.au/@yourhandle — that lists several links at once, the way Linktree or a similar tool works: put it in your Instagram bio once, and update what it points to without ever having to change the bio itself again.

Claiming one takes a few steps from Bio pages → Claim a handle: sign in, answer a couple of quick questions about what you do (this seeds a starting headline and some starter links for you), pick your handle, and either publish straight away or leave it as a private draft until you're ready. You don't need an @artefactgroup.au account to do this — if you're a client with the right access, you can run your own page end to end.

Claiming a handle needs a Studio or Agency tier (see Getting started for what a tier is). A Studio account can claim one handle; Agency can claim as many as it needs. Everyone with access to Links — any tier — can still make ordinary short links and campaign sets; the tier only gates the bio page.

A handle can't be renamed once it's claimed, because that would break every link and QR code already printed with it on. If you need to hand a page to a different account, that's something Artefact staff do for you, not a setting on the page itself.

Where the stats show up

The dashboard shows total clicks, your top links, where visitors came from, which countries they're in, and bio page views — with every number labelled so you know whether it's counting a redirect or a page view. Click into any individual link for its own breakdown by day, referrer, device, and country.

One thing worth knowing before you print anything

A short link or QR code printed on signage, a case label, or anything physical is a permanent commitment — the address itself never changes, even if what it points to does later. Choose destinations for anything printed with that in mind.

Getting access

See Getting started for how sign-in and access work generally, and ask your Artefact contact for a Studio or Agency grant if you need to claim a handle.
