Artefact staff and company admins
Admin dashboard
Onboard companies, grant app access and tiers, and manage users — for Artefact staff and company admins.
The admin dashboard, at admin.artgrp.au, is where access to every other tool on the platform actually gets turned on. Most people never need to open it — it's for Artefact staff running the platform, and for the one person at each client company who manages their own team.
Two different panels, by role
What you see here depends on your role, not on which company you're with:
- Artefact staff (role
admin) get the full dashboard described below — every company, every user, every app. - A company's first user (role
client_super_admin) gets a smaller, self-service panel scoped to their own company only: they can see and invite their own team, and nothing else. They can't see other companies, revoke anyone's access, or impersonate a user — those stay Artefact-staff-only.
What Artefact staff do here
- Onboard a new company — creates the company and invites its first user as a company admin, pre-granted whichever apps you tick. That person can then invite the rest of their own team without you doing it for them.
- Invite an individual external user directly, without going through a company at all, for a one-off collaborator who doesn't need a whole company set up around them.
- Grant or revoke app access, and set a tier — open a user's row and click Access to turn a specific app on or off for them, and to set their tier (Free, Studio, or Agency) where a tier matters for that app. This is the "someone turns that tool on for you" step described in Getting started.
- See pending invites that haven't been accepted yet, and the full list of users across the platform.
- Impersonate a user to see the platform exactly as they do — useful for working out why something looks wrong for one person and not everyone.
- Audit log — every grant, revoke, and other admin action is recorded here with who did it and when, so access changes leave a trail instead of living only in someone's memory.
- API keys — a place to save the API keys the platform's own services need, once, without the value ever being shown again afterwards.
What a company admin does here
A client_super_admin sees a much smaller version of the same idea, scoped to their own company: invite a team member, choosing which apps they get and a role appropriate for someone on their side (team member, supplier, exhibitor, crew, or guest), and see their team — the people they've already invited. There's no revoke, no impersonation, and no visibility into any other company from here; those decisions stay with Artefact.
Getting access
Artefact staff are set up as admins directly. A company's first user is invited by an Artefact admin as part of onboarding that company — see Getting started if you're trying to work out which of these applies to you.
